I am internationally-award winning journalist, accomplished academic and researcher with a rich interdisciplinary focus. I specialises in several fields within journalism and media and communication studies, with a particular emphasis on radio studies, the safety of journalists, solutions journalism, and music and gender-related issues in urban communication. My career is marked by a distinguished and global commitment to academic excellence (both in teaching and research) and social relevance, particularly in enhancing the understanding of media practices and their global impact on societal issues like gender and violence in the Global North and Global South.
